As the end of APA’s Annual Meeting neared, news broke about the tragic shootings in an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas. APA released a statement to express the Association’s sorrow and offered guidance on how to talk with children about the tragedy.

Members of the Board of Trustees make the important decisions that ultimately steer the organization and have a real-life impact on patients. To reflect APA’s diversity, members of minority or underrepresented groups are especially encouraged to run for office. Nominate yourself or a colleague for the following national offices for 2023: president-elect, secretary, minority/underrepresented representative trustee, Area 2 and 5 trustees, and resident-fellow member trustee-elect.
