Four Special Caucuses To Meet in Chicago
Four special-interest caucuses sponsored by the Council on Psychiatric Services will meet during APA’s 2000 annual meeting in Chicago.
The Rural Caucus, chaired by William Herz, M.D., and the State Hospital Psychiatrists’ Caucus, cochaired by Beatrice Kovasznay, M.D., and Yad Jabbarpour, M.D., will meet on Monday, May 15.
The VA Psychiatrists’ Caucus, cochaired by Albert Gaw, M.D., and Frederick Guggenheim, M.D., and the Caucus for Psychiatrists Practicing in Correctional Settings, chaired by Henry Weinstein, M.D., are tentatively scheduled to meet Tuesday, May 16. Check your meeting schedule for the exact time and location of these meetings.
The goal of the caucuses is to provide an opportunity for psychiatrists practicing in designated settings to meet and share ideas, concerns, and solutions with colleagues and APA leaders. All annual meeting attendees are welcome to join in, but you must be an APA member to register for the caucuses and participate in the caucus-sponsored bulletin boards or list serve.
More information on the caucuses is available by going to APA’s Web site at <www.apa.org> or calling (202) 682-6092.
