Christopher Durso is executive editor of Psychiatric News. He has more than 30 years of experience editing and leading association publications, including for Associated Builders and Contractors, the Professional Convention Management Association, Community Associations Institute, and the American Medical Student Association. A graduate of St. Joseph’s University, he lives in Arlington, Virginia, with his wife, two daughters, and three cats.

Nick Zagorski is associate editor of Psychiatric News. Prior to this, he was a senior reporter with Psychiatric News for nine years, during which time he covered topics such as psychedelics, brain stimulation, and digital tools for mental health. He also had stints writing for Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, ASBMB Today, and the National Institutes of Health. At home, he enjoys cooking, building Legos with his daughter, and watching reruns of The Price Is Right.

Steve Parrish is the creative director for Psychiatric News. He has been with APA for one-and-a-half years. Steve was previously art director at the American Occupational Therapy Association, and senior designer at the Marine Corps Association. Steve has served many freelance clients over his 27 years of design experience including Kiplinger’s Financial, Williams College, the American Humanist Association, and the Association for Intelligent Information Management. Steve is also an illustrator and fine artist and enjoys drawing pencil portraits of people and pets. He lives in Rockville, Maryland, with his dog Murphy.

Terri D'Arrigo has been with APA for over six years as a senior writer covering clinical and research news for Psychiatric News. Her main areas of interest are addiction psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, health equity, and lifestyle psychiatry. Terri was previously a reporter for Pharmacy Today at the American Pharmacists Association, a senior editor at Pharmacy Practice News, and an associate editor for Diabetes Forecast at the American Diabetes Association. She also freelanced full-time for several years, with her work appearing in ACP Internist, Dermatology World, Endocrine News, and WebMD. Terri is an avid birdwatcher and Washington Capitals fan; loves art, Stoic and Zen philosophy, and live rock music; and admits to hoping against hope for another Jets Super Bowl win in her lifetime.

Michelle Massi is the production manager for Psychiatric News and has been with APA for close to 10 years. While her background is in graphic design, her day-to-day work involves a variety of responsibilities, including audio and video editing, social media, and website content management. Born and raised in Barranquilla, Colombia, she's a naturalized citizen fluent in both Spanish and English and a collaborator in APA's Spanish workgroup. She works remotely from Wellington, Florida, where she lives with her husband, son, and baby girl.

Mark Moran is a senior reporter with Psychiatric News covering clinical and research, professional, community, and education news. He worked for APA and Psychiatric News from 1989 to 1997, then returned to APA in 2003, where he has stayed ever since. He received his master’s in public health from George Washington University. Prior to working at APA, he was a reporter with American Medical News and WebMD.

Katie O’Connor is a senior reporter with Psychiatric News covering advocacy. She has been with APA since 2019 and is particularly interested in issues impacting children and adolescents, women, and underrepresented communities. Before joining APA, she covered health care and social services for the Virginia Mercury and the Richmond Times-Dispatch. Her work has been recognized by the Association of Health Care Journalists and the Virginia Press Association. She lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with her husband, a three-year-old who never stops moving, a baby who tries her best to keep up, and her first-born child, a collie named Ronan.

Linda M. Richmond is a senior staff writer covering research and clinical news with Psychiatric News, first joining the staff in November 2017. Her interests include writing about severe mental illness, covering new research breakthroughs and innovations in the field, and profiling the heroic work of everyday psychiatrists. Some of her prior work involves writing about pharmaceutical news and the health care industry for BNA/Bloomberg. In her spare time, Linda is a Fairfax Tree Steward and enjoys restoring woodlands and growing native plants. ■
